St Georges Day 2011

On Saturday 23rd April 2011 The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Association South East Kent Branch celebrated St Georges Day and the Birthday of the Regiment - 23rd April 1968. Fusiliers all over the Country and indeed the world have celebrated this very special day since 1968 proudly wearing their red and white St Georges Day Roses. A large number of branch members, families, and friends enjoyed a really good night’s entertainment together.

It was pleasing to see new members and their wives and partners joining in with the celebrations and that branch social evenings are so well supported. Evidence that Fusiliers past and present are so proud to have served with the Regiment and that the old and bold are so proud of all the young men and women that are continuing to serve in the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers in the two regular battalions and those volunteers of the Territorial Army who serve alongside them in Afghanistan.
