On Sunday 10th April 2011 Alan Warren proudly carried the Regimental Association Standard at the Regimental Church Service. It was an honour to carry the regimental standard from RHQ to the Chapel Royal marching through the tourists, and the standard receiving a Present Arms Salute from the guardsman on sentry duty outside the Jewel House. Brian Straughan is the Regimental Standard Bearer; he was unable to carry out this duty due to family commitments so Alan was asked to stand in for him. Brian kindly supplied the colour belt and white gloves and fully briefed Alan on the duty proceedings.

Alan and his wife Gill accompanied by Ray Le-her enjoyed the church service and lunch afterwards at RHQ.
